How It All Began
On April 18, 2006, our association - Give Gospel! Gospel for Young People (Give Gospel!Gospel für die Jugend e.V.)-started its activities. The association's concept was formed through experiences at the "krefelder gospel musik festivals"(kgmf) which had its beginnings in 1998. Since then, hundreds of people have been thrilled and touched by Gospel music.
Our Vision
Contemporary Black Gospel Music expresses both shared sufferings as well as shared feelings of joy and hope. In these songs we not only sing about the Good News found in the biblical Gospels, but also about life's challenges and how trust in God enables us to work through them. We want to pass this life-affirming and hope-filled attitude of Gospel music on to children and young people, along with the fun of singing together with great rhythm and energy. Gospel music also carries with it a communication that reaches beyond cultural limits and offers an alternative to "soul-less" or sound-less activities.
Activities The association supports young people in the following areas:
- Scholarships for participation in Youth Workshops and Concerts under the umbrella of the "krefeld gospel music festival"(kgmf)
- Soloist Training
- Instrumental Training and Praise Dance
- Choir Director Workshops
- Information on the history and content of Contemporary Black Gospel Music.
Financial Support
As a non-profit association - even with volunteer assistance - we can only reach the goals we have set within the framework of the funds available to us. If we have awakened your interest in doing something for young people, we would be delighted with any and every contribution. Of course, you will receive a donation receipt for tax purposes. Since we are a non-profit association, all of your donations are tax deductible. We would also be happy to welcome you as a Supporting Member in our association. With an annual contribution of 24 Euros you can give Give Gospel! the chance to share with young people the music of Good News, of joy and hope for living.
